Arm/Shoulder Strengthening Exercises:
Triceps/Deltoids
Knee Push Ups
Start by lying on your belly with knees bent and feet up in the air, with lower leg perpendicular to the ground
Place hands on the floor next to shoulders with elbows pointed up
Push body up by straightening arms. Be sure to keep your body straight
Slowly lower yourself back to the floor
Triceps Dip
Sitting with your back up against a small step or block, place hands behind you on the small step or block with elbows bent
Push up to straighten arms and keeping legs straight
Slowly lower self back to the floor
Wall Push Up
Stand an arm’s length away from a wall with feet firmly placed on the floor, shoulder width apart
Place both hands on wall with fingers up
Bend arms, bringing your face closer to the wall with feet staying planted
Do not bend body
Slowly push and straighten arms
Biceps
Ball Curls
Standing with feet apart, hold a small weight or ball in hands with arms straightened out
Slowly bend elbows to lift weight or ball towards your chin, but making sure to keep elbows close to side of body
Return arms to original position
